Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has contacted FC Porto over the signing of 20-year-old defender, Eder Militao.
According to Brazilian outlet, UOL Sporte, the Portuguese gaffer is eager to seal a deal for the Brazilian youngster when the transfer window opens in January so as to improve his injury ravaged United defence next year.
The report claimed that Militao has a contract release clause of around £45million which the Red Devils will have to pay to secure his signing.
United may face strong competition from Chelsea and Everton who are also interested in signing the defender.
Militao has been impressive so far this campaign for Porto.
The defender featured in his side’s 4-1 victory over Portimonense last weekend.
Man United will tackle Cardiff City in the Premier League fixture on Saturday after losing 3-1 to Liverpool last weekend.
