EPL: Mourinho breaks silence on rumoured return to Real Madrid

Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho has spoken up on reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Recall that Real Madrid Directors identified Mourinho as their number-one target to take over from manager, Julen Lopetegui at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mourinho, whose current contract at United will end in 2020, spent three years with the Champions League title holders during his time at the Spanish capital before leaving the Los Blancos in 2013 to Chelsea.

The 55-year-old has, however, clarified that he is not leaving the Red Devils for Madrid, adding that he is happy at Old Trafford.

Reacting to the rumoured move to Madrid, Metro UK quoted Mourinho as saying ahead of Man United’s champions League clash with Juventus on Tuesday night: “No, I am happy here.

“I’m happy to see out my contract and I would like to stay after my contract.

“All I think about is Manchester United,” he said.
