EPL: Mourinho breaks silence on Martial leaving Manchester United camp because of girlfriend

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has broken the silence over Anthony Martial’s decision to leave the club’s tour, “two or three days ago.”
Martial left Manchester United’s Los Angeles base on Wednesday to fly to Paris, France for the birth of his child with partner Melanie da Cruz.
Already, the player wants to leave Old Trafford this summer and Mourinho was said to be “deeply unhappy” by the Frenchman’s late notice to him before leaving the squad. There were also reports that Martial did not inform the Portuguese at all before leaving.
However, the former Real Madrid boss has clarified that he was aware of Martial’s decision, adding that he respects it.
Mourinho said, “I found out that Martial was going to Paris when he told me,” said Mourinho after Manchester United beat AC Milan in a preseason game on Thursday morning.
“Was two or three days ago.
“When it is personal reasons, everyone analyses that the way they think is the correct way and when a man is going to be a father in this case, it’s the second time he is going to be a father, and he decides is very important for him to go, nobody has the right to stop him to go.”
Manchester United beat AC Milan 9-8 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
