Former Premier League and La Liga star, Michael Owen has tipped Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season ahead of Manchester City.
According to Owen, Pep Guardiola’s side are the ones under pressure despite knocking Jurgen Klopp’s men off top spot on the Premier League table.
Manchester City are currently on top of the English top-flight league table with a point ahead of Liverpool after 29 games.
Speaking on the Premier League title, Owen told Goal: “It looks like it’s a two-horse race.
“There’s only Manchester City and Liverpool that are potentially going to win the Premier League.
“I’ll feel sorry for whoever doesn’t because in any other year the second team [Liverpool] would’ve won the Premier League by maybe ten points.
“This year has been an exceptional standard and it’s going to go a long way yet.
“Liverpool now have played in recent weeks Everton away, Manchester United away and okay, their points have dropped a little bit, but now it changes.
“Now Manchester City have a more difficult finish than Liverpool.”
