Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic, has jokingly revealed what his manager, Jose Mourinho wrote in a secret note he (Mourinho) handed over to him during Manchester United’s win over Chelsea on Sunday.
In the final stage of the clash at Old Trafford, Mourinho brought on Eric Bailly to solidify United’s defence.
Stepping into the pitch, the Ivorian centre-back’s first action was to hand over a note from Mourinho to Matic.
Matic’s attempts to read the note were disturbed by Chelsea forward, Willian, who tried getting a quick peak of the note.
The Serb managed to escape his former Chelsea teammate and presumably understood Mourinho’s tactical instructions as United managed to see out the win.
Matic, afterwards, posted an update on Instagram to jokingly reveal what Mourinho’s message was. Matic’s note read, “You have three days off.”
Mourinho’s men are not in action until next Monday where they will play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
