EPL: Martin Keown singles out Chelsea player for praise

Former Arsenal star, Martin Keown, has singled out Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso for praise.
According to him, Alonso has been ‘different class’ for the Blues and he has given them an extra dimension this season. Keown was impressed with Alonso’s display in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Spaniard showed a flying performance at left back and came close to scoring, but was denied by a fine save from Asmir Begovic and he hit the post.
Alonso is now seen as one of the best left-sided defenders in the Premier League.
Alonso was named man of the match against Bournemouth.
“Alonso is different class down the left,” Keown said on Match of the Day.
“They changed their formation this year to adapt but no-one seems to have told him as he is flying own the left hand side even more than when he was a left wing-back.
“We know what he can do, he has scored lots of goals.
“He wants to stay high on the pitch and he’s been a real success for them.”
