EPL: Manchester United fail to qualify for Champions League, Solskjaer’s men to play Europa

Manchester United will be playing in the Europa League next season, following their 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hoping to pick up a high-scoring win over the relegated side, to keep his side in the hunt for a top four spot.

However, Isaac Mbenza’s second half goal, cancelled out Scott McTominay’s opener, to ensure both teams shared the points.

The result leaves United with 66 points, with one game left.

Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge, took the Blues up to 71 points, one more than fourth place Tottenham Hotspur.

This makes it mathematically impossible for United to finish above fifth.
