Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United are ready to break their transfer record by signing 20-year-old West Ham star, Declan Rice as Ander Herrera’s replacement this summer.
Herrera is set to sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer after growing frustrated with Manchester United’s offer.
The midfielder reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with the French champions and will join them July 1.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and was demanding a big increase to his current £130,000-a-week salary, to remain with the Old Trafford giants.
Man United refused to sanction Herrera’s £200,000-a-week wage demands, despite PSG’s attempts to land the Spanish midfielder on a free transfer.
The Independent is reporting that Rice’s entourage are aware of interest from the Red Devils and are braced for an approach at the end of the season.
The report claimed that West Ham will demand as much as £50million for the England international’s signature.
