Former Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, is set to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
Enrique is available to take over at the Emirates Stadium as soon as Wenger departs at the end of the season, having put himself on a sabbatical in Spain.
According to SportsMail, the 47-year-old is believed to be in advanced negotiations with the Gunners and only an unexpected glitch will see him miss out.
The approach has been made by Arsenal’s new director of football relation, Raul Sanllehi, who forged a close relationship with Enrique at Barcelona.
The two have dined together at an exclusive London club recently and were in deep discussion.
The Arsenal hierarchy are however keeping it under wraps, as they are keen to give Wenger a courteous send-off at the end of this season.
