EPL: Loftus-Cheek reveals who caused Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves

Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has blamed the Blues players, following their 2-1 defeat by Wolves in Wednesday’s Premier League encounter.

A goal from Loftus-Cheek was not enough to get Maurizio Sarri’s side a point against Wolves at Molineux as the game ended in favour of the hosts.

The England international has now questioned the attitude of Chelsea players by blaming them for their lacklustre performance against wolves.

He, however, accused Sarri’s men of not controlling the game.

“We felt in control first half, 1-0 up and playing some good football,” Chelsea’s official website quoted Loftus-Cheek as saying.

“They came out fast second half and to be fair we were sloppy as a team, and in the Premier League if you’re sloppy, you pay for it. That’s what happened.”

He added: “We train every day as a team, and we should expect to play well, whoever plays in the team. We need to take this loss and turn it around quickly because we have got a tough game on the weekend. We need to analyse the game and move on very quickly.

“The dressing room is very disappointed. This is a period with a lot of games and points at stake, and these are the games we want to take points from. It wasn’t to be but we pick our heads up and go again.”

Chelsea will now tackle Manchester City in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.
