Manchester City forward, Leroy Sane has lauded his teammate, Fernandinho as one of the most important player in Pep Guardiola’s team.
The Germany international believes Fernandinho is so essential in City’s squad because the Brazilian can defend, win and pass the ball.
Sane stated this following Man City’s 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League encounter played on Thursday.
Goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane gave Guardiola’s men all three points against the Reds.
However, Roberto Firmino did score for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
“Everyone knows Fernandinho is one of the most important player for us [Manchester City],” FourFourTwo quoted Sane as saying.
“He has to defend the ball, win the ball, pass the ball!
“He had an amazing game and I’m so pleased he is back for us.”
Sane will hope to lead Manchester City to victory when they tackle Wolves on Monday in their next Premier League fixture.
