Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard has given his opinion about the club’s new signing, Ross Barkley.
Lampard believes Barkley is a great player and he will succeed at Stamford Bridge.
He added that the Blues’ decision to sign the midfielder from Everton for a fee of £15 million is a good one.
“It’s a no brainer for Chelsea as a club. £15m for the ability of Ross Barkley,” Lampard told BT Sport.
“I know people talk about how he hasn’t quite maybe fulfilled his potential but what you’re buying for £15m in a market where you’re paying £30-40m for players of less ability, I think Ross is a great buy.”
The Premier League champion completed the signing of the England international on Friday after he was linked with a move away from Goodison Park during the last few months.
