EPL: Joao Cancelo sends strong warning to Man City’s Kyle Walker

Manchester City’s new signing, Joao Cancelo has sounded out warning to Defender Kyle Walker that he will compete with him for the right-back position at the club.
Cancelo, who admitted that Walker is a great player, said that he will challenge the 29-year-old in order to be the best player at the wing-back position in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
The defender said this at his first briefing with the club’s official website on Thursday.
The 25-year-old became Guardiola’s third signing of the summer on Wednesday following the respective arrivals of Rodri and Angelino from Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven.
“I love the City project and what they offer me. “As a player I like new challenges,” Cancelo said.
“I’m aware of the competition, Walker is a great player but the more competition the more chance you have to grow as a player.
“I dream of being the best player in my position and this is good place to achieve that.”
