A former England star, Jamie Carragher has identified Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil as the two weak links in the lineup against Chelsea last weekend.
Arsenal manager, Unai Emery had attempted to implement a new style of play at the Emirate since he succeeded Arsene Wenger.
The Spaniard wants his side to play out from the back and pressing from the front.
The new pattern has failed to yield instant result with the Gunners losing their opening two matches of the Premier League season against Manchester City and Chelsea.
Carragher said on Twitter in typically cutting “If Mkhitaryan and Ozil start pressing & running back they [Arsenal] will have a chance!”
Mkhitaryan scored one and provided an assist during Arsenal’s Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
However, he was criticised for his defensive work, especially in the build-up to Pedro’s opener after he failed to track the run of Marcos Alonso.
Ozil, meanwhile, was substituted with 22 minutes remaining when the scoreline was locked at 2-2.
