Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has said that lapses from Chelsea defence duo of David Luiz and Marcos Alonso will help Liverpool defeat the Blues in their Premier League on Saturday.
Wright advised the Reds to target the space behind Alonso and Luiz.
Liverpool take on Chelsea for the second time in four days having suffered their first defeat of the season to the Blues during the week.
“But Chelsea’s problem will be, yes they’ve got Hazard or Pedro or Willian, but they need a striker,” Wright told Premier League Productions.
“They need the guy up front whether it’s [Olivier] Giroud or [Alvaro] Morata – for me both of them are not really on form – to nick that goal to give the other guys that momentum to get into the game so it doesn’t all depend on Hazard.”
“Alonso, there’s space, Luiz there’s a space in there and I think that Liverpool will be able to exploit those spaces.
“Liverpool are in the right moment for Chelsea. He [Sarri] knows his team are going to be up against it because any defence that has got David Luiz in it that’s getting attacked from the wings, you’ve got a great chance of scoring goals.
“When you look at this Liverpool side and Alonso for example I can see the space being exploited
“Same thing with [Cesar] Azpilicueta having to deal with Andy Robertson, then you’re leaving the centre halves like David Luiz to pick up runners like Firmino or Mane or Salah, I can see Liverpool causing them a lot of problems.
“It will be tough, it will be intense for both sides. It’s a big one, it’s Chelsea versus Liverpool – that sounds already good and now we have to make sure it is good!
“For both teams, it will not be an easy game and both teams know that. But the best preparation for the Saturday game is the Wednesday game because you can never know more about an opponent than in the match you play against them.
“Of course, there’ll be a few different players on the pitch for Chelsea, but we try to use our information from Wednesday to do it better.”
