The Premier League is planning for the eventuality that Liverpool pips Manchester City to the title on Sunday, despite the champions being in pole position to retain their crown.
City’s 1-0 victory over Leicester on Monday night, means Pep Guardiola’s men will be champions again if they beat Brighton on Sunday.
Liverpool will be praying for a slip-up, while they must beat Wolves to clinch it.
It is only the eighth time in Premier League history the title race has gone down to the final day and the first since 2014, when City pipped Liverpool.
The Premier League are preparing for any last-day drama, which means there will be two trophies and sets of winners medals on standby, with one heading for Brighton and the other for Anfield.
There are currently two trophies in existence, with one remaining with the champions and the other being used at events and TV studios during the season.
