Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has revealed what Maurizio Sarri did to improve the club after his arrival from Napoli.
According to Hazard, the work the Italian did in the summer transfer market significantly improved the squad he inherited from Antonio Conte.
The Blues are unbeaten this season going into Saturday’s heavyweight clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri brought in Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid, midfield maestro, Jorginho from Napoli and new goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, signed for a world record £71.6million from Athletic Bilbao.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Manchester United, Metro UK quoted Hazard as saying, “The first year we won the title with [Jose] Mourinho when we bought [Cesc] Fabregas and Diego Costa was also very good.
“Now is different but the signings have definitely improved the squad. Jorginho is fantastic.
“We lost Thibaut [Courtois] but Kepa [Arrizabalaga] is an incredible replacement, so we will see at the end of the season. If we win everything, then I can say it is the best ever.”
