Chelsea ace, Eden Hazard, is ready to sign a new contract to become the club’s highest paid player, according to Italian outlet, Gazzetta dello Sport.
Recall that Hazard spoke out about his future last weekend, admitting he was torn between staying at the West London club and joining Real Madrid.
The Belgium international was keen on signing up for Madrid last summer, but his transfer was sidelined due to goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois’s decision to leave the Blues.
The report claimed that the 27-year-old, who has less than two years in his current contract at Stamford Bridge, is now ready to sign a new deal before the end of this season.
Hazard has scored eight goals for Maurizio Sarri’s side this campaign.
He will hope to lead the West London club to victory when they take on Manchester United at home in the Premier League fixture this weekend.
