Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard was full of praise for striker Michy Batshuayi following Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
Antonio Conte handed Batshuayi a rare start in the Premier League at the Falmer Stadium, with Alvaro Morata suspended after he was sent off during Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Norwich in midweek.
The Belgian striker did not find the net at Brighton but Hazard, who scored a sensational brace talked up his combination with the forward after the game.
Hazard told Sky Sport, ‘We started the game very well. The combination between Michy, Willian and me and the midfield was brilliant we need more like this week after week.
‘But then after the first-half we had a problem. Willy made some saves today. When you score early then you think the game is really over, but it is not. ‘At the end of the game we won by 4-0, that’s good.
Hazard reached a personal milestone of 100 career goals in the English top flight with his opener at Brighton. “t’s my job to score,’ he explained after the victory.”
“I know it’s not happened lately but every game I try to score, create goals and assists, ‘That’s what strikers try to do every game.”
