EPL: Hazard names two people that made him join Chelsea

Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard has revealed that he turned down approaches from Tottenham, Manchester City and Manchester United in favour of the Blues.

Hazard said it was former Chelsea stars, Didier Drogba and Joe Cole that convinced him to move to the Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium national team captain is concluding plans to leave Stamford Bridge this summer amid interest from Real Madrid

Hazard joined the west London side in a £32 million deal from Lille in 2012.

Before moving to Stamford Bridge, Hazard said he was approached by a number of Premier League clubs.

“I had a chance to sign for Machester United, Man City, Tottenham,” Hazard was quoted by Mirror.

Hazard said that his agent also held talks with then-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

“But I made the right decision,” he added.

“I spoke with the owner and I had Didier Drogba and [Lille team-mate] Joe Cole on the phone telling me this was the best club.

“I was a little bit scared when I first arrived. Didier Drogba had left and when you have Drogba in the team for sure you win a trophy.

“But at the end I played with top players. And if you look at my seven years at Chelsea we did something amazing together.

“We won trophies together and I am just happy,” he said.
