Chelsea ace, Eden Hazard has planned to force Chelsea to sell him to Real Madrid by refusing to sign a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international spoke out about his future last weekend, admitting he was torn between staying at the West London club and joining Madrid.
Hazard was keen to sign for the La Liga giants last summer, but his transfer was sidelined due to goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois’s decision to leave the Blues.
Spanish outlet, Marca is now reporting that Hazard does not intend to force Chelsea into a corner in the same way Courtois did, but is confident he can manufacture the move by declining any contract extensions from the club.
Hazard’s contract at Chelsea will expire in 2020, and Chelsea will have to choose whether to sell him or lose him on a free transfer before he enters the final year of his contract at the end of 2019 season.
Hazard, who is currently the leading goalscorer in the Premier League, has scored seven goals for Maurizio Sarri’s side this season.
The 27-year-old wants to leave the club on good terms and has no interest in signing for any club other than Madrid.
