Harry Kane’s brace in Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 spanking of Everton on Saturday, saw him become the club’s all-time leading goal scorer in the Premier League era.
Kane scored his brace from close range in the second half, to take his tally to 98 league goals in just 135 appearances.
The 24-year-old has now moved past Teddy Sheringham, who netted 97 goals for the North London club in 236 matches.
“It’s something I’m very proud of but it’s on to the next one, just keep going and these boys are great at setting me up,” Kane told BT Sport.
“We’ve got to just keep winning games as a team and hopefully I’ll keep scoring.
“I might have been offside [for his first] but sometimes you get them sometimes you don’t. It went my way so I’m happy.”
Jimmy Greaves’ still holds Tottenham’s all-time goals record of 266 goals.
