Arsenal new midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi has revealed two former Arsenal players he would like to emulate at the Emirates.
The 19-year-old started in all four of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season following his summer switch from Ligue 2 side, FC Lorient.
Guendouzi said former Arsenal midfielder, Patrick Vieira, and the club’s all-time record goal scorer, Thierry Henry were the heroes he looked up to while growing up.
Speaking to Ouest-France, Guendouzi said, “It is the club of my heart, the one I support since I was a kid. I grew up watching videos of Vieira, Henry and the others with my father.
“French players who made history. When I knew the club was interested to bring me in, I didn’t hesitate,” he said.
