Manchester City’s defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night, meant that Pep Guardiola lost to the same team twice in the same league, for the first time in his coaching career.
Eden Hazard scored twice, as Antonio Conte’s men continued their march towards the Premier League title.
Although Sergio Aguero scored in between Hazard’s goals, City could not convert more chances, as they sought to blow the title race wide open. And in losing to Chelsea, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss suffered his very first ‘double’.
The defeat at Stamford Bridge, also means Guardiola has lost six times in a single season for the very first time.
City are now in fourth place with 58 points.
Arsenal thrashed West Ham 3-0 on Wednesday and now have 54 points with one oustanding game.
