Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has revealed three world ‘best clubs’ he wants his team to emulate this season in the Premier League.

The Spaniard said he wants City to learn from La Liga Champions, Barcelona, Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich and Serie A champions, Juventus, adding that his priority for the new campaign is for his team to win the Premier League again, having won it last season with a record 100 points from 38 games.

Guardiola admitted that Barca, Munich and Juve are the best clubs in the world because in the past ten years, the trio have won seven domestic league titles.

“The first priority is the Premier League. That is the nicest one,” Guardiola was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying ahead of City’s clash with Oxford United in the Carabao Cup Tuesday night.

“When I see for example three teams – Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus – that have won seven leagues in ten years they show me they are the best teams which is good to emulate.”

He added, “We want to be consistent and solid in that competition. After, we want to improve in knockout games on the ones we have made in the past. We’re going to try.”
