Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has provided latest update on playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne’s injury ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night.
De Bruyne did not feature in City’s 3-1 victory over Southampton last weekend due to injury.
The midfielder has made just one Premier League start for City so far this term in the Boxing Day 2-1 defeat by Leicester.
Guardiola has now said that the Belgium international will undergo a late fitness test ahead of City’s clash with Jurgen Klopp’s men tomorrow.
Asked about De Bruyne’s fitness, Guardiola was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying on Wednesday: “He trained today, he’s much better, but we will check again tomorrow morning.”
The kick-off time for the match between Man City and Liverpool is 9pm.
