EPL: Glenn Hoddle singles out one Arsenal player ahead of Man Utd clash

Former England international, Glenn Hoddle, has hailed Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as “different class”, ahead of their trip to Manchester United and has backed him to be a key player in the clash.

Aubameyang has shone in an otherwise frustrating start to the season, with Unai Emery’s side managing just three wins from their opening six games in the Premier League.

The Gabon striker has netted seven goals in seven appearances and got the winner last time out, when they came back twice to defeat Aston Villa 3-2.

United, meanwhile, have only managed two victories this term and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finds himself under pressure following a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham.

Hoddle is yet to be convinced by either side, but believes we are likely to see an entertaining goal-fest on Monday night.

“It’s got goals written all over it because there’s attacking players and creative players on both sets of teams, without a doubt.

“But I think United’s defence will slightly outdo Arsenal’s.

“That could be a 2-2 draw, it could be a 4-3. I’m not sure which way it will go.

“Arsenal at the end will have the emphasis to go forward and I think United will look to hit on the break.

“But that depends… if Arsenal score first, what do they do? Can they hang on to a 1-0? No. The old “1-0 to the Arsenal” has gone out the window years ago so I think there’s goals,” he told Premier League Productions.
