Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud has paid tribute to Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger after the Blues beat Liverpool in the Premier League.
Giroud headed-in the only goal of the game, as Antonio Conte’s men defeated the Reds 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The 31-year-old won three FA Cup trophies during his six years under Wenger at the Gunners.
The French international sent a message to his former manager, who will be leaving the Emirate club at the end of the season.
“Arsene Wenger deserves a great tribute for all he has achieved in his Arsenal career,” Giroud told Sky Sports.
“I hope he finds a new challenge too, because I know he is still hungry to win competitions. ‘I just want to pay tribute to him.”
Meanwhile, Wenger signed off his final home game as Arsenal boss with a 5-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday and gave a farewell speech to fans after the match.
