England manager, Gareth Southgate has warned Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho against dropping young England forward, Marcos Rashford on the bench.
Southgate wants the Portuguese to give more playing time to Rashford in order for him to continue his development.
Rashford scored England’s only goal in their 2-1 loss to Spain at the weekend.
Mourinho has given the youngster a little playing time at Old Trafford this season and the Three Lions’ coach, while addressing reporters after England game at Wembley, said,“He (Rashford) is got a tremendous mentality, he’s got great talent and we think he’s got everything to go on and be a top player.
“The only way for him to improve is by playing.”
A former Newcastle player, Micky Quinn had early told the young forward to move to Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool where he would be valued.
Quinn claimed that Jose Mourinho was stunting the player’s growth at Old Trafford.
Also, Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, had told Rashford to leave the Red Devils to fulfil his potential as a central striker. Rashford has failed to nail down a starting spot at Manchester United under Mourinho.
The player has often been used on the wing whenever he plays.
Wright noted he wants to see the 20-year-old back in a striking position, which means he will probably have to leave his boyhood club.
