EPL: Fred speaks on relationship with Mourinho

Manchester United midfielder, Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos, popularly known as Fred, has insisted that his working with Jose Mourinho was a dream come true.

The Brazilian international completed his £52m move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window and has been slotted straight into United starting eleven.

The Midfielder displayed an outstanding performance during his debut against Leicester and was among United players who suffered a 3-2 beat down at Brighton.

The defeat at the American Express Community Stadium has led to fresh speculation over Mourinho’s future with the Red Devils amid reports of misunderstanding with executive vice-chairman and the club captain, Paul Pogba.

However, Fred claimed that Mourinho’s attitude on the training ground hasn’t changed and is always happy to provide advice and support for the players.

“I’m really happy to be working with Jose Mourinho he’s a great person and he’s always keen to communicate with the squad and help people to be communicative regarding what they’re to do on the pitch,” he told Sky Sports.

“I’m really happy to be working with him and I hope that I’ll be working for him for a while to come.’

Manchester United will face Tottenham in their next EPL fixture on Monday at Old Trafford.
