Former Chelsea star, Frank Sinclair has blamed manager, Maurizio Sarri, for the Blues’ 6-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday in the Premier League.

Three goals from Sergio Aguero, a brace from Raheem Sterling, and a goal from IIkay Gundogan handed Pep Guardiola’s men all three points against Chelsea at Etihad.

Sinclair blamed Sarri for not playing midfielder, N’Golo Kante alongside Jorginho in front of the back four so as to limit the damages.

“For me the definition of madness is you [Sarri] keep trying the same things over and over again and it doesn’t work and you keep doing it,” the ex-defender told Chelsea TV.

“So at some point you’ve got to change what you’re doing.

“You can’t just look at it and say since January away from home it’s not happening – do something about it.

“In this game it was screaming out for [N’Golo] Kante to go and protect the back four and it’s not happened.

“Get Kante alongside Jorginho at 4-0 down to limit the damages,” Sinclair stressed.
