Former England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has made shocking Premier League title prediction after Chelsea clashed with Arsenal on Saturday.
Ferdinand said neither Chelsea nor Arsenal would end up winning the league title.
Chelsea beat Arsenal 3-2 in Maurizio Sarri’s first competitive home game in charge of the Blues.
It was also Unai Emery’s first away trip with the Gunners.
It was goals from Pedro, Morata and Alonso that gave the home side their second win of the new season.
Mkhitaryan and Iwobi were on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Ferdinand was not impressed with the defending, especially from Arsenal.
And he said both teams do not put enough emphasis on defending to challenge for top spot.
“This is crazy,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“This is the story of the first half defensively for Arsenal. They do not track runners from midfield.
“But these two teams will not be anywhere near winning the league on this showing.
“They just don’t defend, you’ve got to do both sides of the game.
“You’ve got to have balance with the way you play this game.”
