Gremio star Everton Soares has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United amid rumours that Jose Mourinho is planning a £30million bid for his signature.
The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in Brazil and has caught the attention from some elite clubs with a string of impressive performances this season, scoring 17 goals in 43 appearances for Gremio.
Everton was rewarded with a call-up to the Brazil national team back in August and the attacker made his senior debut in September, playing against both the United States and El Salvador.
Reports have it that United scouts have been monitoring Everton’s progress in Brazil as Mourinho scours the market for players to support Romelu Lukaku in attack at Old Trafford.
Asked about the speculation linking him with United, Everton told SporTV, “We all hear the rumours at some point, right?
“I’m going through an exceptional phase, and we know how hard it is when clubs from England look at Brazilian players, for their quality.
“Let’s see what happens at the end of the season, wait until it is over, and see what’s best both for me and Gremio.”
Everton signed a new deal with Gremio until December 2022 earlier this year and the Brazilian outfit will be determined to keep hold of him this winter.
