Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, has spoken for the first time since Jose Mourinho was sacked on Tuesday.
There have been rumours of fall-outs between Mourinho and a number of United players and Bailly was reportedly one of those who did not see eye to eye with the Portuguese.
But the Ivorian has now broken his silence following Mourinho’s departure and revealed the truth behind their relationship.
He posted two images of himself and Mourinho together on Instagram along with the caption: “Whatever they may say, I will always be thankful to the person who gave me the chance to make my debut at Old Trafford.
“Thank you for what you have taught me. Good luck, coach,” he added.
Bailly was Mourinho’s first signing when he arrived at Old Trafford, spending £30m to bring the centre-back from Villarreal.
