EPL: Emery speaks on Kolasinac being responsible for 2-2 draw with Man Utd

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has revealed Sead Kolasinac was disconsolate after his error gifted Manchester United the goal that saw the Gunners draw 2-2 on Wednesday.

He, however, refused to blame the defender.

Marcos Rojo’s own goal looked destined to help Arsenal record their third straight Premier League win, but Jesse Lingard capitalised on the Kolasinac’s mistake to score.

The Bosnian opted to take a touch rather than clear first time, allowing Lingard to pounce and slot past a stranded Bernd Leno.

Emery said afterwards: “I am not frustrated. At the end Kolasinac had his head looking down and I said to Sead you had a very good match and you gave us a lot of good circumstances where we could have scored with your actions – these things can happen in defence.

“These things can happen and above all be positive and learn with this action.”
