Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has hailed playmaker, Mesut Ozil following Gunners’ 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday in the Premier League.

Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (2) and Alex Iwobi (1) gave Arsenal all three points against the Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.

However, a goal from Ashley Barnes was not enough to give the visitors a point against the home side.

Ozil started his first Premier League fixture in six weeks against Burnley and produced a fantastic pass as Aubameyang opened the scoring for Arsenal.

Asked about Ozil’s performances against Burnley, Emery was quoted by Metro UK as saying after the match: “Ozil played very well.

“We want a Mesut like today in our subsequent games.”

Emery added: “Today we won, tomorrow we have off. Monday we prepare for Boxing Day. This is all we think about.”

Emery’s side will now tackle Brighton on Boxing Day in their next Premier League fixture.
