Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has provided update on the condition of some of his players’ injuries ahead of their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
According to Emery, the Gunners will be without defenders: Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, when they take on Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend due to injuries.
Monreal and Kolasinac missed Arsenal’s Europa League 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night due to hamstring problems as Granit Xhaka filled the gap in defence line for the visitors.
Xhaka usually lines up in a holding midfield position for Emery’s side, but amid an injury crisis at the North London club, the left-footer was selected to fill in as a full-back.
“We have now two left-backs injuries, [Sead] Kolasinac and Nacho [Monreal],” Emery told BT Sport.
“We can use maybe [Stephan] Lichtsteiner as a left-back or another thing we are trying is playing with Xhaka.”
The kick-off time for Arsenal vs Palace clash is 2:30pm.
