Arsenal boss, Unai Emery has changed rules by the former manager, Arsene Wenger, at the club.
During Wenger’s reign, Arsenal players were occasionally allowed to drink fruit juice with their meals at training.
But the Daily Mirror is reporting that Emery has now changed the rules on player’s nutrition.
The report claimed that the Spaniard banned his players from drinking fruit juice at the club’s training ground.
According to the newspaper, the 46-year-old has ordered the club’s canteen staff at the club’s training base to replace fruit juice, which is high in sugar, with water.
The report also claimed that Emery is closely monitoring his players’ body fat measurements and has set up a marquee next to the training pitches which houses several pieces of gym equipment.
The report added that Emery also introduced individual sessions with his players.
Emery’s training programme is understood to be far more intense than what obtained under Wenger.
The Gunners will clash with Cardiff City in their next Premier League fixture on Sunday.
