Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward has reportedly identified Juventus winger, Douglas Costa as the first player the club will sign following the sacking of manager, Jose Mourinho.

Recall that Mourinho was on Tuesday sacked by United following the club’s poor run of form this season.

According to The Sun, Woodward wants Costa to join the Old Trafford club when the transfer window opens in January.

Costa is considering his future in Juventus, after falling down the pecking order in Max Allegri’s squad.

The Brazilian joined the Serie A champions from Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich in January.

The 28-year-old will hope to feature for Juventus when they tackle AS Roma on Saturday at home in the Serie A fixture.
