EPL: De Bruyne names club that can stop Man City from retaining Premier League title

Manchester City play maker, Kevin De Bruyne has named Liverpool as the club that can stop Pep Guardiola’s men from retaining the Premier League title this season.
City won the English topflight league title last season with a record 100 points from 38 games.
But De Bruyne believes Jurgen Klopp’s men will fight City ‘to the end’ in the title race this term.
The Belgium international stated this following City’s 3-1 victory over Everton in the Premier League encounter over the weekend.
The midfielder played his first Premier League match of the season as a second-half substitute against Everton after recovering from a knee injury he sustained some months ago.
Speaking on the club that can stop City from retaining the Premier League title, ESPN quoted De Bruyne as saying: “I don’t know why they [Liverpool] can’t sustain it. I think Liverpool will go on to the end.
“To be fair, I’m not too worried about them. They will do what they do and we’ll have to try to win our games and go forward.
“They’ll try to keep pace with us and vice-versa. But it’s still early. There’s no pressure — we need to do what we do.”
De Bruyne will hope to lead Guardiola’s men to victory when they tackle Leicester City on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup.
