Former Arsenal goalkeeper, David Seaman has revealed why manager, Unai Emery’s tactics are not working at the club.
Emery, a former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain coach, is known for his pressing style game where he instructs his defenders and goalkeeper to play out.
Emery’s men have lost two and won two of their four Premier League games this season. They currently sit on ninth position on the log with six points.
Seaman, however, believes that Emery’s style is not working at the Emirates club because the Spaniard’s tactics is a big change for the Gunners’ players.
“It’s a big change, it’s a massive change for Arsenal,” Seaman told Goal.
“For the club firstly and for the team it’s different.
“We’ve got a sort of game plan that is trying to play it out from the back all the time, and it’s not quite working.”
Emery’s side will battle Newcastle United this weekend at the St. James’ Park Stadium
