Arsenal defender, David Luiz has named Gilberto Silva as one of the best Brazilian players that ever played for the Gunners.
Luiz said this ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Burnley on Saturday at Emirates.
“I think around the world people are attracted to good players, especially Brazilian players, so Gilberto was one of the best Brazilian players, maybe the best Brazilian player who played here,” Luiz told Arsenal’s official website.
“I had the opportunity to play with Denilson when I was 10 years old, we played together. Gabriel is my friend, Andres Santos is my friend, so everyone is trying to do big things with this big club.”
Luiz, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea last week, was forced to watch from the bench last Sunday in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star will hope to feature for Arsenal this weekend when they take on Burnley.
