EPL: Conte speaks on Chelsea’s move for Peter Crouch, Edin Dzeko

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has reacted to speculations linking the club with a move for Stoke City’s Peter Crouch and Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

It had been earlier reported that the West London outfit had enquired about the availability of Crouch after the injury of West Ham striker Andy Carroll, who was also on the Blues’ wish-list.

The Stamford Bridge owners have also been credited with an interest in Roma’s striker Edin Dzeko and are readying a €50 million bid for the Bosnian and Emerson Palmieri.

Speaking to the English media on Friday, Conte said, ”As you know very well that it is not right to talk about players on other teams.

“There is a transfer period and if something happens then you might be the one to know first .”

He added, ”My answer is the same. I am not interested in this conversation. To be respectful for my players and other players of other clubs.

“This is period is a transfer market, if something happens you are the first media to know the news.”
