Chelsea are reportedly ready to break their club’s policy by offering Brazilian ace, Willian a new two-year deal.
Chelsea usually only offer players over the age of 30 one-year extensions but are now willing to make an exception for Willian, who last week celebrated his 30th birthday.
Willian has just under two years remaining on his current deal with Chelsea, but the new offer would see his £120,000-a-week wages increase.
According to The Mirror, the Blues wants to renew Willian’s contract so as to ward off interest from Manchester United and Barcelona.
Willian was linked with a move away from the West London club this summer, with United and Barcelona both credited with an interest amid reports that the winger was unhappy at Stamford Bridge.
The 30-year-old admitted that he would have left the Blues if Antonio Conte remained as manager, but insisted that he is happy to stay at Chelsea under new boss, Maurizio Sarri.
