Chelsea will not be signing AC Milan forward, Gonzalo Higuain, in January, according to Goal.
Blues boss, Maurizio Sarri, has been eyeing Higuain for a while now, as he looks to bolster his attacking options, for the second half of the season.
The duo previously worked with each other at Napoli for the 2015/2016 campaign, where the Argentine netted 38 goals in 42 games.
However, the Blues will now not be signing Higuain in January despite recent reports suggesting otherwise.
The reason is the complexities of the deal, with the 31-year-old currently on loan at Milan from Juventus, making a potential deal difficult to conclude with two other clubs involved.
Chlsea are now looking elsewhere to enhance their front line, with Higuain set to remain at the Italian club for at least the rest of the season.
