EPL: Chelsea players angry with Morata with striker set to leave

Some Chelsea’s players have become frustrated with Alvaro Morata’s attitude, as the striker nears a January move away from Stamford Bridge, the UK Independent reports.

Morata has endured a difficult spell in England since leaving Real Madrid 18 months ago, with his two goals against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup his first goals since a brace against Crystal Palace at the start of November.

Strangely, he refused to celebrate after netting against Forest and it was later claimed that he was making a point about the lack of respect he’s been shown by the club.

Morata is now widely expected to leave Chelsea this month and few of his teammates will miss him, with his “meek attitude” becoming a source of frustration among his teammates.

Several players have urged Morata to show more fight on the pitch, though their pleas did not get much of a response.

The Spaniard has been linked with AC Milan and Sevilla, but now Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old.
