EPL: Chelsea midfielder set to leave club for free

Chelsea are faced with the prospect of losing midfielder, Cesc Fabregas on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Some of Italy’s biggest clubs are already lining up to sign the former Arsenal midfielder.

New Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri is yet to use the Spaniard in the Premier League this season.

He has used Jorginho at the base of his midfield, with the Italian impressing in his opening matches.

With Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also competing for places in midfield, Fabregas may have his work cut out to get back in the team.

The 31-year-old is out of contract next summer and is not short of suitors.

Both AC Milan and Inter Milan are keen on signing him.

The Express reports that with his contract expiring, Fabregas is permitted to start talking to clubs overseas after December.

It means that if he is unable to force his way into Sarri’s plans, then Chelsea face losing him for free.
