Chelsea have added a third player of Nigerian descent, Tammy Abraham, to their pre-season squad ahead of friendlies this week.

Abraham, who is eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, has linked up with the Blues squad in Dublin, reports AllNigeriaSoccer.

He is now available for selection alongside other Nigerian eligible stars: Ike Ugbo and Fikayo Tomori when they face Bohemians on Wednesday evening.

The three young stars were all loaned out to Football League clubs last summer.

While Abraham and Tomori spent the whole of the season at Aston Villa and Derby County respectively, Ugbo was at Scunthorpe United until January 2019.

Chelsea’s longest-serving player, Kenneth Omeruo has not been considered for the trip simply because he is on international duty with the Super Eagles at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Former Nigerian winger, Victor Moses ended speculation over his future after he reported for pre-season training at Fenerbahce last week and is not part of the group.
