EPL: Chelsea include German manager in six-man shortlist to replace Sarri [Full list]

Chelsea have included former RB Leipzig coach, Ralf Rangnick, in a six-man shortlist of managers to replace Maurizio Sarri this summer.

DAILY POST had reported last week that Jose Mourinho, Emma Hayes, Erik Ten Hag, Javi Gracia, Nuno Espirito Santo and Frank Lampard are managers chosen to replace Sarri at Stamford Bridge if he leaves the club in this summer’s transfer window.

However, German newspaper, Bild, is now reporting that the Blues have added Rangnick to the six-man of coaches to replace Sarri.

The report claimed that the UEFA Europa League winners, who are yet to opened official talks with Rangnick, are ready to lure the 60-year-old German to Stamford Bridge.

Sarri’s future at Chelsea is uncertain despite winning the UEFA Europa League last week and finishing third in the Premier League.

The Blues are prepared to let the Italian leave for Juventus, who are looking for Max Allegri’s successor.

“For us Italians, the lure of going home is strong,” Sarri told Vanity Fair.

“You feel that something is missing. It was a heavy year. I began to feel the weight of distant friends, my elderly parents who I rarely see.”
