EPL: Chelsea identify Premier League star to replace Morata, Giroud

Chelsea have identified Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson as a replacement for strikers, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, according to Daily Mirror.

The Blues are looking to land the player during January transfer.

Chelsea have been dependent on winger Eden Hazard for goals, with Giroud yet to score this season and Morata only returning to form.

Wilson has been in sensational form for Bournemouth this term, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

The 26-year-old signed a new long-term contract in the summer.

Wilson, who scored his 50th carrier goal against Manchester United on Sunday, said after the game, “It’s nice to make that achievement.

“I should have had it a lot sooner,’ he said, reacting to that achievement.

“Now I am looking upwards, I am trying to get 100 goals. Why not make another landmark for the club?

“Any striker wants to score as many goals as possible for their club and I’m the same.

“Day by day, I am trying to become the finished article. I don’t think you can ever stop improving.”
